Wat we doen:

• repareren wollen kledingstukken

• wol verwerken: van wassen tot kaarden

• oude of ongebruikte wollen kledingstukken herwerken

• nieuwe toepassingen voor wol ontwikkelen in de bouw, landbouw, interieur, mode, farmacie en geneeskunde

• droog en nat vilten 

• tapijten maken

• wol kaarden

• papier maken of wol, flaas en hennep

• wij werken ook met hennep, zijde en linnen

• wij hergebruiken ook afvalmaterialen uit de textielproductie, zoals zelfkanten, restanten van garenproductie en meer

• recyclen oude textiel, zoals Japanse kimono's of kimono-stoffen en furoshiki

Onze focus ligt op: 

• vermindering van afval tijdens de textielproductie

• herbruikbaarheid van afvalmaterialen uit de textielproductie voordat ze zelfs maar tot kleding worden verwerkt

• bruikbaarheid van wol in meerdere sectoren en industrieën 

• voorlichting voor boeren, de industrie, het onderwijs en consumenten

At Het Woolly Collectief, we believe every fibre has a story worth telling. Long before a garment is ever worn, there’s a quiet tide of waste in the textile world — offcuts from weaving, threading, fibres deemed “imperfect,” and beautiful surplus materials left unused.  While most conversations about waste start after production, we choose to begin at the very first step, rescuing these overlooked treasures.

 

By giving them new life in our work, we honour and respect the resources, the setter uppers, the weavers, spinners and other makers, plus land or animal fiber it originates from.  In house we have selvedge edges which are great for spinning, weaving, felting and knitting, burrs from spinning, cotton and linen lint (great to make shoulder pads) and more..
